CCP200
RSView32 Project Maintenance
Course Purpose:
This course is designed to provide you with the skills needed to maintain and modify an RSView32 human-machine interface (HMI) automation project used to control and monitor an operation.

You will first use RSView32 software to practice the tasks associated with maintaining an existing RSView32 project by modifying functionality and features. Then you will demonstrate the proper operation of the project by interacting with a computer and a Logix5000™ controller, PLC-5™ processor, or SLC 500™ processor. You will also learn how to track real-time plant activity to reduce maintenance costs and optimize productivity.

Who Should Attend:
Individuals who need to maintain and modify an existing RSView32 project or need to control and monitor an operation using RSView32 software should attend this course.

Prerequisites:
Ability to perform basic Microsoft® Windows® tasks.

Completion of the Fundamentals of Programmable Controllers Using RSLogix 5™ or RSLogix™ 500 Software course (Course No. CCP122) or the Fundamentals of Logix5000™ Systems course (Course No. CCP146) or equivalent experience.

RSView Studio

Both RSView Supervisory Edition and RSView Machine Edition share a common design environment called RSView Studio that allows users to create applications in a single design environment. RSView Studio supports editing and reusing projects for improved portability between embedded machine and supervisory HMI systems. With RSView Enterprise Series, all software products in the suite are built on the same integrated, scalable architecture. Application developers can import entire machine-level applications into supervisory-level applications or drag individual components and drop them right into supervisory projects, saving development time and reducing engineering and training costs.

With RSView Studio, you can:

• Configure a single operator
   station or configure an
   entire distributed
   application from one
   location

• Access tags from OPC
   servers throughout the
   system via a tag browser
   that presents direct PLC
tags and HMI tags in a
   logical hierarchy

• Remotely configure RSLinx
   and RSView SE servers

• Create displays using a
   full-featured graphics
   editor
