Cookie Policy
Our cookie policy describes how we and our business partners may collect and store information about you and your use of the Site through cookies and other tracking technologies.
What are cookies? Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a Site. Cookies set by the Site are called “first party cookies”. Cookies set by parties other than the Site are called “third-party cookies”. Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality, such as advertising or Site analytics, to be provided on or through the Site. The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your computer or device both when it visits the Site in question and also when it visits certain other Sites and/or mobile apps.
First party cookies. We use several different kinds of cookies on this Site, including strictly necessary cookies, which are cookies that are necessary for the Site to function and cannot be switched off in our systems; performance cookies, which allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our Site; and functional cookies, which enable the Site to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. Cookies are not the only way to track visitors to a Site. We may use similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Sites. These technologies often depend on cookies to function properly, and so disabling cookies may impair their functioning. If you sign up to receive our e-mails, we will also use cookies in conjunction with these emails. When your browser downloads any graphic content in the e-mail, we will also place a cookie on your computer that will tell us if you come to our Site at a later date.
Third-party cookies. In addition to our own cookies, we collaborate with various third-party service providers, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, and application providers, who also use cookies to help us optimize our Site, to understand more about the visitors to our Site, and to advertise to you. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our Site. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services.
Google services. We use Google Analytics to help us gather statistical information about the visitors to our Site and to market our products and services. Specifically, we use Google products such as Google Analytics Advertising Features, which creates audiences and personalizes ads based on specific behaviors and demographics and interest data, and Google Tags, which tracks activity across our Site and shares that information with Google. This information is collected via cookies and other identifiers that we and third parties place on our site. We and our third-party partners may use this information to gain a better understanding of the users of our Site, to advertise to you, and to improve our products and services. To understand how Google collects and processes data, including through the use of cookies and other technologies, please visit please visit https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. To opt out of the Google Analytics, we encourage you to check out Google Analytics’ currently available opt-outs for the web.
How we use cookies. We and our third-party partners may use cookies to gain a better understanding of the users of our Site, customize your Site experience, and to improve our products and services. We also use cookies to provide you with interest-based advertising, which shows interest-based ads to you on sites across the Internet. To support interest-based advertising, we and the companies we have contracted with may use anonymous information about your visits to our and other Sites and applications. If you have provided us with other personal information as described in this policy, we may associate that personal information with information gathered through cookies and other tracking technology to offer increased personalization and functionality. Third parties who place cookies and other tracking technology on our Site may also connect the information that they collect from these tools to other sources of information. To learn more about the use of cookies, pixels, or other technologies to deliver more relevant advertising, and to better understand how to manage your personal information, including access to and use by certain service providers, please visit http://www.aboutads.info/choices.
How can you disable cookies and other tracking technology? Depending on the type of browser and device that you use, you may have the ability to control the type of information that these tools use. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. For more information about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your computer or mobile device and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org and www.youronlinechoices.com.
Do Not Track signals. Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in their web browsers. When a user turns on DNT, the browser sends a message to Sites requesting that they do not track the user across sites. This Site responds to certain DNT browser settings and signals and, if you have enabled these signals, this Site will prevent our third party advertising partners (such as social media companies and ad networks) from continuing to collect information about you and your activity on our Site through the use of third party cookies, tracking pixels, and other Tools. However, even with these signals enabled, we will continue to collect other information about you and your activity through the use of cookies, tracking pixels, and other Tools as described elsewhere in this Policy. For information about DNT, visit www.allaboutdnt.org.
